Rooted and Grounded Against The Winds Of Change

“The wind is changing.” (14-0507)

The wind is changing.

The wind is changing.

That was the beginning of a simple Word of Encouragement (WOE) a few weeks ago. I did not totally ‘get’ all of it at the time. A few days later, Holy Spirit gave me more of it as I finished typing a blog post entitled, “Good News For Times Like These”. Today, as my morning ‘walk’ (literally) with God came to a close, He reminded me of that WOE and I prayed, “Father, I don’t think I fully understand the Word about the wind, yet. I am asking You for illumination on it; give me revelation, in Jesus’ Name, I ask You for this. Amen.” Then, I found myself at the end of the drive where these lovely old, but strong trees are planted. I was in awe. Not only because I love trees, but because I “saw” the wind blowing the limbs; I “saw” the wind blowing around the tree trunks; I “saw” the roots holding the tree in place. And, I heard His voice speak Words of encouragement as I watched and listened. I began wishing I had taken my journal on the walk with me. All the way back to the house, I kept hearing, “Winds don’t sway that which is rooted and grounded. Winds don’t sway that which is rooted and grounded. Winds don’t sway that which is rooted and grounded…” Soon, I was back to the row of trees with camera in hand and excitement in my soul. It is my hope that you are encouraged as you LISTEN to what HE says. Thus far, the complete WOE (14-0507–14-0618) reads like this:

"Winds don't sway that which is rooted and grounded."

“Winds don’t sway that which is rooted and grounded.”

The wind is changing. If fear arises, go to The Word. Remember, it is The Almighty whom you serve! Go and find comfort in His promises, and run to Him. Then rest upon His wings until you are refreshed to soar again. Continue to do as you know until THAT LAST DAY which either will come through Jesus’ return or death. Either way, seek Good News and trust His salvation! The wind is changing. Winds don’t sway that which is rooted and grounded. The rooted and grounded STAY. Those that have deep roots endure the winds that bring change. The winds flow and those that are NOT rooted and grounded sway with the wind. But, that which is rooted and grounded ENDURE, and the winds flow with the change that comes, but they stand and they endure.  And those that are rooted and grounded will stay; THEY endure the winds of change.

Still overwhelmed by the visit when I returned to the house to rest, another blessing awaited me. It was time for “Wednesday Noon Prayer” with Billye Brim online. She was teaching a Kenneth E. Hagin message entitled, “How To Walk In Love”.  She told about how she, personally, walked out the instruction to develop her “love walk” years before. At one point in the lesson she told of the day God’s love swelled up inside her in reaction to something her husband did; her ‘new’ response was totally opposite to how her flesh would have wanted to react before she had begun to DO the Word. Her story reminded me I had asked God earlier that morning to help me love my husband better, without any preconceived ideas. My heart swelled up and the tears trickled down in appreciation of how quickly He answered my prayer. The point of Sister Brim’s message is ‘The Church’ cannot operate in the power of faith if it is not, first, walking in love! I believe you will be blessed if you take the time to listen to that broadcast: Wed. June 18, 2014.

For me, the Word she put forth about love was a continuation and a confirmation of all that The Lord had been showing me the last few days while studying on how to overcome “selfishness”.  (The blog is coming soon.) Another morning recently before I had my first cuppa, I felt God’s presence and He began speaking to me about His Love for me. He spoke about how His love is deep and not dependent upon what I do, how my obedience pleases Him, but it is not WHY He loves me. He said, “I love you because you are my child. Jesus is My Son as you are Mine. I loved you before you took the first step….” As His love enveloped me, I was pressed to speak of His love. He spoke. I listened. I heard the following:

WOE: (14-0616) “I want others to KNOW MY LOVE in these times– hard times– oppressing times. Sense My love, KNOWING My love will encourage you to speak Words of Truth. My Love and Truth make a way– clear the fog. ‘Mercy & Truth’ is My message for this hour. Speak it out,
“Mercy! Truth!”
Love–Truth and repeat!
Soak it in/Squeeze it out.
Soak it in/Squeeze it out.
Soak it in/Squeeze it out.
It’s that simple.”

MY PRAYER: “Father, out of Your honorable and glorious riches, strengthen Your people. Fill their souls with the power of Your Spirit so that through faith the Anointed One will reside in their hearts. May love be the rich soil where their lives take root. May it be the bedrock where their lives are founded so that together with all of Your people they will have the power to understand that the love of the Anointed is infinitely long, wide, high, and deep, surpassing everything anyone previously experienced. God, may Your fullness flood through their entire beings. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!” [Eph. 3:16-21, VOICE]

MY CONFESSION: Father-God grants ME out of His great grace to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in MY inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]…. in my heart TO BE ROOTED DEEP IN LOVE & FOUNDED SECURELY ON LOVE… to give ME power and be strong and grasp …what is the breadth and length and height and depth of HIS LOVE… That I may really come to know practically, through experience… the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge without experience; that I may be filled…unto all the fullness of God and have the richest measure of HIS DIVINE PRESENCE and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself… to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly, far over and above all that I dare ask or think infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams— to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen~ so be it! [Eph.3:16-21, AMP]
