A wise friend once told me, “Just go, and BE!” And another friend talked the other day about how a ‘branch’ never struggles to grow fruit; it simply produces as long as it stays connected to ‘The Vine’. The thing about salt & light is they simply ARE what they are & simply DO what they do as long there’s no outside interference. Salt is considered a stable composite. It never really loses its savor, but it can be diluted which will lessen its effect. Light is not extinguished by darkness, but it dims as it loses connection to its energy source. Selah!
The “wise friend” mentioned is my life-friend, Evangelist Marsha Sue Mitchell. She wrote a ‘Note’ on Facebook a few days ago concerning a WOE statement she heard: “Salt and Light the two empowerments!” The above paragraph is the comment I made on her ‘Note’. This morning I was presenting a few people in prayer who have been heavy on my heart. I was pleading for The Lord to fill my mouth with Words of encouragement for my loved ones, Words of comfort, Words of joy, Words of peace! As I began praying in tongues walking up and down my parents’ drive. Holy Spirit gave me the a Word of Encouragement for me. I share it with you in hopes you, too, will be encouraged!
“Light reflects. Salt must be poured.
“Light shines upon everything within its perimeter, but salt must be harvested and contained. Then, it is useful. Then, it can be poured upon and into something. Salt is My Words poured in due season into a life. Salt revives and preserves for a season. Keep a reserve for passersby who need sprinklings.
“Light is your behavior, personality reflecting My Character. Light comes from The Source of Light; My Son IS ‘THE Light’. You can only reflect from Him as He is with you. His Light never dims. You are a reflection of His light; keep Him close. Stay close! Your light dims when you move away from the path He wants you to follow. Stay close!”

1 John 3: 4-6, The Living Bible
“… those who keep on sinning are against God, …
… JESUS became a man
so that he could take away our sins, …
SO IF WE STAY CLOSE TO HIM, OBEDIENT…,
WE WON’T BE SINNING EITHER;
but as for those who keep on sinning, they should realize this:
They sin because
they have never really known him or become his.
Matthew 5: 13-16
The Living Bible
“You are the world’s seasoning, to make it tolerable.
If you lose your flavor, what will happen to the world? …
You are the world’s light—… glowing in the night for all to see.
Don’t hide your light!
Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see,
so that they will praise your heavenly Father.
The Message Bible
Let me tell you why you are here.
You’re here to be salt-seasoning
that brings out the God-flavors of this earth.
If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness?…
Here’s another way to put it:
You’re here to be light,
bringing out the God-colors in the world.
God is not a secret to be kept.
… I’m putting you on a light stand… —shine!
Keep open house; be generous with your lives.
By opening up to others,
you’ll prompt people to open up with God…
