A Proclamation to Praise~ “SHOUT!”

Great is The LORD,
And greatly to be praised
In the city of our God,
In the mountain of His holiness
Beautiful for situation*,
Joy of the whole earth
Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north,
The city of the Great King
~PSALM 48:1,2~

Let praises reach Mt.Zion once again.

Let praises reach Mt.Zion once again.

TheLORD had me in intercession for Israel not long ago. Specifically, He gave me Psalm 48 and Psalm 46 to pray over the nation. The Voice Bible Commentary explains Psalm 46  by stating it reminds Israel to sing praises to God “for His strength and protection and for Jerusalem and its temple where God uniquely dwells. It invites the world to witness a future when wars and striving will cease and all the nations know and worship the one True God. ” During this prayer-time, the Lord continually emphasized to proclaim praises.  Psalm 47 is His instruction on how to praise.

Why am I sharing this private time of prayer? Holy Spirit is calling The Church to unity~ unity through HIS LOVE and compassion for lost sheep. Only through unity and agreement with His plans and purposes will we truly affect and make an effect on the situations at hand. Jesus told us before He ascended that He was going to be with The Father so we could finish His work here on earth. He commissioned us to it, gave us the authority to use His Name, and sent Holy Spirit to empower us. We must use this authority backed by His Word; we must proclaim HIS LOVE, we must proclaim WHO HE IS, and we must make a proclamation of PRAISE! God’s desire for His people is:

On the same day, Holy spirit spoke this WOE: (14-0826)

“Tell the people to PRAISE!
PRAY-lift your voices to the heavens,
even to send the angels on My behalf!
Let praises reach Mt.Zion once again.
The people will rejoice at my judgements
because righteousness is My right side.
Let praises encircle Zion.
Take inventory of all I have there;
I protect what is mine.
I AM and forever will be their unfailing Love.”

Praise is a significant part of God’s battle plans. He used it at Jericho, and He is using it now! Meditation was and is our preparation. Psalm 48, verse 9-10, tells us to “meditate on God’s unfailing love until the praise reaches the ends of the earth.” Once we meditate on His love and really know His love, we will not able to contain it. It will not only change us and our personal environments, but we will have no choice than to speak of it at every opportunity. His love and compassion will compel us to do so! God uses man to help ‘work’ his plans upon the earth. The authors of The Voice Bible remind us in their commentary of Joshua:
“…A prayer from the Christian and Jewish traditions reminds us: Pray as if everything depends upon God; work as if everything depends upon us. Throughout the story of God’s people, the partnership between human beings’ faith and God’s power leads to God’s purposes being fulfilled in human lives. …Memory is important… When the people of Israel remember God’s promises—and His goodness—good things happen. But when they forget, they turn to other things for meaning; they put their trust in other gods—money, power, position, and possessions. It’s been a problem for the people of God up to the present day, so these attempts to remember can remind us about God’s great works. It has always been true that when God’s people take their eyes off Him, they forget the lessons of the past. We honor God through our worship, and we are reminded of significant lessons learned when we praise Him.”

In chapter 6 of Joshua (VOICE),  “Joshua gave the Israelites very strict instructions [and then says], ‘Don’t yell or shout. Don’t let your voice be heard until the day I tell you. And then I want you to shout with all your might.’  This is very significant to the instruction God has given The Church for today. Today He telling us it is time~ time to “PRAISE! time to “PRAY-lift your voices to the heavens… time to “Let praises reach Mt.Zion …(and)… time to “encircle Zion.”  Today is the day, the day for praises to be heard, the day to “shout with all your might.’

God is her fortress.
When the kings joined forces and advanced together,
they saw her and were astounded; they fled in terror.
Trembling seized them.
They were destroyed like ships shattered by an east wind.
As we have heard,
so we have seen in the city of The LORD Almighty,
…God makes her secure forever.
(v.3-8, NIV/paraphrased)

In God’s city of Angel Armies, in the city our God…
Set on firm foundations, firm forever.
We pondered your love-in-action,
God, Y
our name evokes a train of Hallelujahs
It is spoken, near and far;
your arms are heaped with goodness-in-action.
(v.8-10, MSG)
